Alpha Kappa Psi's Academy - Developing Future Business Leaders

Since 1997, Henry E. Vail II has served as a private wealth advisor through his Houston-based firm, Sucre-Vail Wealth Advisors. Henry Vail II also serves as a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPSI) business fraternity, which will hold its annual Academy for select members from June 24 through 27, 2017.

The AKPSI Academy will take place at the Waycross Conference and Retreat Center in Morgantown, Indiana, and will welcome 20 AKPSI members to participate in an exclusive leadership program. The Academy is set in a remote, 410-acre wooded area, where AKPSI members can get away from everyday responsibilities to participate in an intimate, interactive leadership experience as part of a select group of students who demonstrate business leadership skills.
The Academy teaches participants about the importance of self-awareness and teamwork and helps them develop leadership skills and a fresh perspective on systems thinking. Students explore various leadership styles and learn how bias and assumptions influence leaders.
Student applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have at least one year of AKPSI student membership remaining prior to graduation. Thanks to the generous support of donors, the Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation covers participants’ tuition, airfare, ground transportation, meals, accommodations, and supplies.
